ABOUT THE ART ON THIS SITE
"Some Feelings And Thoughts I'll Have Any Second," Exhibition installation, New York City, Nov 2017. The work contains 256 questions and statements exploring just what is, and is not, normal and abnormal in cultures and societies. The 256 text elements came during a brief hypomania, monitored as part of my ongoing treatment from co-occurring disorders; the 25 colors represent both the diversity of thoughts and feelings during buoyancy as well as their various degrees of intensity. When observers stand close to the work, they proximately experience being immersed in my mildly manic bipolar mind as it exists in recovery.
As one arts and humanities blog has written, the work "presents one of the most accurate representations of a mental illness through art, as well as one of the most distinguished pieces from [this show]."
More details are here.
Other works that appear are oil paintings, installations, and drawings that I’ve created in recovery these past six years.
